Aditya, please go through the discussions we have had in this thread before (Vkool).  I'm sure someone will post further info, as desired by you.

Adithya,  Please try to check in below contacts for your nearest dealer/installer. Do it  through authorised dealers as spending that much, Also get clarify the exact series/product of v kool  as different ranges are available.

V-Kool Films India Private Ltd.
Tel: 022-26186501 / 02
 vkool@vsnl.com

Just 2 cents if you intend to fit front windscreen film please be careful . If any excess water from the spray gets oozed into the dashboard  it may cause some temporary problems for electronic units.

I have finally got 3M sunfilm installed on my Santro Xing. The installation was done at Fast Tracks in Minister Road in Hyderabad.

The Film is RE50 (43% heat reduction as per the brochure) on sides and RE 70 on the back. The cooling is definately there. The film is very light gray color so the night time visibility is also not decreased.

The installation done at the above shop is OK thought not very good. Some minor dust particles are there and some very small bubbles also I think.

The price came to Rs4800 (didnt do much bargaining).

Garware is dark colored that 3M so didnt go for it. For the front windscreean the dealer said VKool would cost ~5K and he also said that Garware is better as there is more cooling but would cost 6K.

Though I have no plan for front sunfilm yet.

@Aditya: Garware from a good accessory shop would cost 2.5-4K for side and back. But I think 3M is better as it is lighter colored (see this thread for Legal requirement of sunfilm visibility) and cooling is good too.

Vivek,

Prices are fine. How is your overall feedback on the shop and the installation.

If you would recommend the shop, please make a mention here.

hi

i got my sun film installed on saturday. i got installed 3M-RE35. as suggested by AMI, i have visited few shops to get idea about the price. the total cost was 2800. the installation is ok upto 95%. the rear wind screen got bubbles at the bottom. the dealer said he will replace. except this rest all fine. for same product RE-35 series, the prices i heard are from 6800 to 2800.   i feel there is still scope for reduction.

It has not changed - the restrictions are same since long - as per rule 100 of CMVR 1989 - 70% for windscreen & rear windows and 50% for side glasses.  And the specifications of the glasses should be as per IS 2553 - Part 2 - 1992.

The above info has been gathered from elsewhere - if you have any reference contarary to the above, please share - will benefit all (though off-topic).

Regarding AGMT, as stated before, it's not carried in normal circumstances... (please read 2nd para of my previous post).

You can find ,for delhi traffic police, the rule 100 mentioned on their website
