There was an advt in local newspaper that AveoLS starts at 5.57lacs(discount of around 50 K)

Does this seems to be a good offer? What abt the performance and features of the car? I read at several places that there is a problem with gear shift

If one compares with dzire and manza, does it scores over them?

Manza Safire Aura & Dzire VXi, costing lesser than the discounted price of Aveo LS, have better features.  If you go for Manza Safire Aura ABS, it will cost at par with discounted price of Aveo LS & will have even better features - including ABS.  Check for discounts on Safire & Dzire, if any.

Have a look at the comparison - go through the Specifications, Features & All Features.

Test-drive the 3 cars (with family).

The Aveo is soon to be replaced-by this!

This is of course the hatch concept, but by what the Beat has turned out to be, i guess this is very much the production version. Chevy bring this on!

It is better to avoid Aveo, as it's under replacement plan, and for the comparison on pricing & features carried out earlier (post 2) - it's not a VFM car.

From the ones under consideration, choose between Dzire & Manza (discussed before) - depending upon your preferences.

He he! This new Aveo looks like a chimera born out of a Cruze-Beat alliance!

Jokes apart, Most of the features (external at least, as interiors are more severely customized for individual market - The curent photographs show a very cruze like dash) have been covered with the launch of Beat. Would there be any point in crowding the space with another hatch, when even the UVA is growing old without a market? I sincerely feel there is no space for a premium hatch in Indian market. - i20 Asta is the limit, and the (0) part of it goes over the top!

Real good photographs, Binoy the car looks very sharp and beautiful. I think Chevy should not bring this car as the model looks very much like the Beat itself.

If someone is going for the current Aveo then try the top-of-the-line model as it comes loaded with safety features and overall it is worth the discounts available on the on-road price.

Thanks all the Mods for your valuable inputs.

Well I never knew that it is going to be replaced. But I am a bit confused how is Sedan being replaced by a hatchback. However, teh car seems to be similar to Beat. Have better interiors seems....tyres are better. BTW what is the name?

Manza has good reviews, but then again Tata factor comes to the mind and another thing Saffire-petrol version.

Dzire with new engine and has uncertain waiting period.

So I am not sure which options are available in petrol 5.5 to 6 lacs - sedan section?

The other options/sedan in that range (5.50 to 6.00) would be Fiesta, Logan & Indigo.  I think you would like to rule out Logan & Indigo - that would leave Fiesta 1.6 LE (base version).

Hyundai Accent can also be a good option. Though the car has been there for ages, it is still one of the very good cars on the road.

Avoid the unnecessary quotes-MODS
