my son is an nri he intends to purchase a car in india and give it to me for my use is there any tax implication
It is just the same procedure as is purchased by a resident Indian. No additional tax will be there.
You will have to pay the excise duty and usual road tax.
You can live in your car, but you can't drive your house.
