I want to purchase used car. I am not able to decide which car to buy. somehow  I am interested in two options i.e. diesel car or CNG fitted car  as I want a low running cost.

I Want to go for either indigo cs diesel or CNG fitted wanonR/sentro car. my daily travel is about 30-35 kms. And I have budget of Rs. 2.5L

kindly suggest me a suitable car.

Thanks

Raj

Wagon R with CNG fitting would be ideal because of the low maintenance on it.

Other choice would include Santro.

Diesel should be kept at bay with the 40 km daily run.

Wagon R & Santro both are good for you as your daily runup is just 30-35 Km.

Search at True Value for Wagon R.

You get added advantage of ASS and Warranty with True value car.

2 lakh is a handsome amount of money to go for a 2 year old Wagon R in a good condition.

Do check them out and post your views.

Is it a good idea to get CNG installed in it? As my daily run is about 30 to 40 kms.

Your 180 rupees refill will fetch you 3 days of running in CNG [50kmpd],

Same on petrol that is 50 kmpd will cost you 150 Rupees per day of fuel.

Hows that? cheap right!

And makes sense too.by the time you finish 10 months of CNG conversion you would have saved nearly Rs25000 which woul overcome the installation process @ Rs 2700 monthly saving[Saving an avg of Rs 150-Rs60 = Rs 90 savings per day when comparing Petrol and CNG]Innocent

that's great!

In Dec. most of the new car dealers offfer discounts.  I may get a new wegnor in around 3.15 on road price that would be 2009 model. and if a buy a used wegnor of 2007 ending which I am getting in Rs. 2.35L  (without CNG).

Now in 2013 (after 4 yrs), 2009 wegnor car will be sold for Rs. ...........  & 2007 wegnir will be sold for Rs. ........... . In which car new or used I will be benifited keeping in mind its resale value and maintainance costs?

A new Car[Wagon R] would fetch you more returns at the end of 3/5 years as compared to an old one taking minimum 1 lakh as resale value by the end of these 3/5 years.

Besides you will be far more satisfied with just a Rs 90000 more investment and newer version[facelifted compared to 2 year old version].

You can choose to invest beautifuly if you can strech your budget by few more and opt for All new ESTILO.

Its just a thought although a Newer version of Wagon R may be introduced in few weeks time, buying it then would fetch you good discounts however not by much margin but only if you think its worth waiting.

Better buy a Bharat IV compliant engine next year or in december whenever it is introduced in the market.

Possibility of a all new Facelifted Wagon R is highly anticipated and may hit the market soon.

Just make sure if you are ready to mint a couple of thousands more than the current wagon R then only it will be fruitfull or else you can buy the Waogn R right away.

Resale and market value doesnt depend much on year of make alone.

So its needless to add here that you need not wait till 2010 starting to buy one.

December is the time when Dealers offer huge discounts.
