Yes, though the engine may be in good condition (or not utilised much), the body may not support (age).

By the way, as most of us know, life of a car, as per RTO, is defined as 15 years.  Thereafter, if the condition is found suitable, it is revalidated for another 5 years.

Honesty is not a Spare Wheel that you pull out when in trouble. It's a Steering Wheel that keeps you on the right path throughout the life's journey.

My Current Car - Tata Safari - October 2008 -  Current Reading 31000 KMs (in 1 year 1 month)

Previous Car - Lancer (Petrol) - Used car, when bought reading was (72000 KMs, 8 Yrs old) used it for almost 1 year 5 months and sold it with reading of 97000 KMs. And even then the engine was too good...I did 170+ kmph in this car on Pune-Mumbai expressway and it was as stable and fast as a new car

Previous to Lancer was Maruti Omni - sold with reading 75000 Kms in 4 years.

Well, you can still see many old (>10 years?) premier padminis plying in Mumbai in the form of taxis. Though they may be getting phased out as a matter of time, their presence even now tells us that a car can be used for a very long time. In fact the newer breed of cars should (by advantage of better technologies) at the very least match (if not out-match) these premier padminis in terms of service life especially if they are maintained as per recommendations.

My brother's Indica DLS  160000 KM 6.5 yrs just now sold for 90K and Booked Manza.  Only Tata Cars . Once we use Tata car for so many years, all other cars look small and cramped.
