Used Swift Vxi or Used Fiesta Sxi

The price difference seems to be only 1 lac or so (both 2006) but fiesta has loads of additional features and if i go for fiesta i don't think i have to think about buying any other car for next 5 years or so... where as if i buy swift i will have to think of buying a sedan sooner or later....

Ford Fiesta wud be my choice based on the condition of the car!!

better go with swift ...well if u need to showoff with a sedan opt fiesta but be ready with extra money that a sedan will eat up wrt a premium hatchback

The maintenance of used ford fiesta can be horrific.Instead swift is better when it comes to used cars.

Well, as far as 3rd years experience is concern, I am very much happy with the maintenance of Fiesta. Till date its not costly to maintain a Fiesta. Regular service only and maximum we paid 3400/- for 30,000 kms service.

Parts problem: Heard whistle kinda extra noise at the time of acceleration @25/26k kms, Reported in South city ford, Noida and they replaced Tensioner pulli (dont know whether I spelt in correctly) under warranty.

Now once again Fiesta is in Narain Ford, Lucknow for similar kind of noise and slight vibrations and hooommmm............ hoooommmmm....... hooooommmmm kinda extra noise whenver a.c. turned on. Also, told them to replace the plate on which all the buttons fixed (ac & all), no problem really but button turned a bit and Advisor told us you can use it as there is no problem but when I asked is is covered under extended he told us Yes, I told him to replace the same.

Will update today evening (after receiving car).

Fiesta is gem of car in Ride & Handling. Braking too is good and you will feel confident even if you are running it over 140kmph (Bro touched 156 kmph maximum). 

I would like to add the service cost after 30,000 kms.:

30,000 kms: 3400/- odd,

40,000 kms: 2211/-

50,000 kms: 2000/-

This is service cost of our Fiesta TDCi.

mantaining ford is quite easy these days. Fiesta is best when compared to swift

How do you think it will be after your extended warranty runs out (i guess aftre the 3rd year?)

How much per year do you think you will have to spend and how much % is it extra compared to swift...

Srikanth: You have to pay Parts price after your extended warranty is over. Now I am calculating regular service cost, I cant expect cheaper than that what I paid.

As far as parts prices are concern, Ford reduced the parts prices (thats why even service cost is cheaper now). I enquired about the major parts like turbo & ECM too and both are in between 16-19k. Earliar price was around 38,000

And Still we can go for 4th years extended warranty. Option is available.

what if the used fiesta i want to buy isn't under extended warranty, can i buy new warranty after maybe they do some tests on it?

It depends on car's model. If its only 3 years old and still under warranty then you can avail 4th years warranty. But if warranty is over then I dont think you can go for extended warranty.
