first of all let me tell u that i have never driven a xylo.....but at the same time had driven innova and i would say u can go for the innova blind folded i am [retty immpressed by the drive quality and the comfort that it gives .. needless to say abt the space and back seat comfort. but considering the price advt of xylo i would suggest taht better u decide on one factor wether to go with less price of increased comfort.. one advt that  i think of xylo is that it is a pretty new model and u can have a lots of apps within a les budget .. but the really poor or i should say worst service offered here in kerala by the one and only dealer is a big problem for mhindra. dont know abt the service network and quality in ur place. i can give u another tip too dont buy a vechile in dec its good that u will get some offers this month but if u wait 4 one month u can have a car whose model is 2010 , and check opt for the new tata indicruz which is a similar vechile to innova which is going to be launched shortly

thanks for the suggestions.first of all I drive very less and the driver does this job.

i am not at all concerned with the looks of these two vehicle.

the only  criteria is comfort and comfort.

i have read that the 3rd row of innova is very uncomfortable for adults as compared to xylo.

for long drive which one is better?

does innova really better in this respect over xylo?

Brand image, engine refinement & interiors Innova is definitely better on the other hand there is Xylo which is from Mahindra and a total VFM option.

Test drive both and feel the difference. If you feel its worth spending around 3lacs more for Innova go ahead and buy else Xylo is there.

Advantage with Xylo is pricing, you will get all the features @ price of Innova's base model.

People use to say, you can drive Innova for 3 lacs kms, thats true but question is you are buying this one for how many years? 20,000 kms per year makes it 1 lac kms in 5 years

People dont change when you tell them that there is a Better option... They change when they realise that there is No Other Option..

well i would anyways opt for the innova only well u will also agree to me after taking test drive of both the vechiles (ignoring the price difference)

@ dhananjay,

no doubt innova is a very good car but xylo is also not at all bad.

my friend has E8 model & it is very good. u get all the features, nice interiors & space cant be matched by the innova. 2nd & 3rd row are damn spacious & in the 3rd row 3 adults can sit easily but in innova u have to get bit squuezed up but if the 3rd row is booked for kids than there should not be a problem.

i felt xylo quiet smmoth & refined, plus the main thing it is 3 lacs cheaper.

if u are ready to pay a premium than go in for the innova & if u want save some money & want a more practical car than go for xylo. & if u think in other way u can buy 2 cars in  the budget of one innova. u can buy a xylo & another small car like spark or so, mean to say that 3lacs is not a small amount.

Also have a look at this thread/discussion.
