Hi,

I planned to change my default headlight. Because the default one is 60/55W it's not enough. Shop keeper suggest me to use PHILIPS Rally Halogen H4 12V 110/100W. Is this higher Watts melt due to over heat. Is any problem will come if i use this? Please guide me shall i go for this.

Yes,the stock headlights of 60/55 are pathetic.Go for 100/90 from philips rally. They are extremely bright but do not disturb on coming traffic. But make sure you install relay and change normal holders to ceramic holders,as they can melt.Make sure this will not void warranty.

110/110 bulbs are illegal and would void warranty.

They might damage the lens/reflector and the holder also.

100/90 is also illegal and face similar risks( but a wee bit lesser).

The usage of higher wattage lamps are an issue of 'vicious cycle'. One buys the same because the next vehicle has them and so blinds us!

Personally feel this should be discouraged.

Philips Xtreme power series are a good alternative to the 90/100W illegal bulbs-costs a bit more but the results are very rewarding and there are no warranty issues or possible damage to the components of the lighting system.

Does the Xtreme power come with a warranty? Are they suitable for the indica V2 DLS?
