Hi Sachin

I have read all the threads,  Dont blame the product  Palio & Punto are there in the international market more than a Decade ,

Does the dealer really sent your car to the FIAT plant?

TATA dealers does not have expertise to handle Fait cars as i am suffering the same with my car palio 1.6 (New car). The solution I got is I had find the Machanic who has got experience on fiat more than 15 yrs, I had taken my car to him and all  the problems got resolved .

Though my car is in WTY I have taken my car  for all unresolved  technical related  problems by show room, All the TATA dealer mechanics are trained to service INDICA & etc.. the diff between FIAT & Indica is like Laptop & Desktop. FIAT is a vechile which has got brain it need an expert to diagnose the problem

Your problem could be an suspenson related problem ( Could be a Manifacturing defect while assembling the car), The same has happend to my friend  car he has got Fiat UNO. Factory had replaced the  front suspension unit/assembly and given back to him in the year 2000 till date the car is running perfect.

I still suspect on dealer if car has gone to the factory the problem must be resolved please recheck with dealer he could be saying U some stories.

Generally we all are approaching through email and phones, It works on small issues only.

I faced the same type of issue with Honda Activa,  I wrote a letter on paper to Honda Japan,  and i got good response.  It will only cost you Rs. 30/- by India Post.  (I am sure it delivered on right place)

Don't forget to attach copy of your purchase bills and other documents, and mark CC to India office.

You write a letter to CEO >> Mr. Rajeev Kapoor

here mention the address : http://www.fiat-india.com/contact-us.aspx

Fiat Italy address:

Mr. Sergio Marchionne

Chief Executive Officer, Chief Executive Officer - Fiat Auto, Director

Via Nizza 250
Turin, 10126
Italy
+39-011-0061111 (Phone)
+39-011-6862915 (Fax)

You will sure get replacement and other gifts too.

Last but not least >> Contact Sonia Maa >> she is the most powerful lady in India and belongs to Italy.  Joking

Punto is good car, Trust on it,  Only one got problem.

best of Luck.

The biggest  mistake was to buy a FIAT .

There is a reason why they failed in the Indian car market and you should have paid more heed to that.

Anyways, now i would suggest you to write to AUTOCAR about you r problem ans ask for assistance. Autocar deals with these problems very well and they generally manage to get the Compnay to repair/replace witihin a short span of time.

Autocar will help you only if you are a subscriber.

Since you are from Pune, have you tried approaching both B.U.Bhandari and Pandit auto? From what I have heard, BUB is extremely pro-active, customer scentric and considered widely among the best Fiat dealers in Mumbai and Pune.

Secondly, show us the invoices that you have. This will help us to see the repair work done on your car and experts can suggest other remedies. Until we don't get to see invoices and job cards, all we can do is curse the manufacturer and add to the jingoism and Fiat bashing. We need concrete info to solve the problem. Bashing can be done later at leisure. Also, do you have any documents from Fiat Ranjangaon? If your car was sent to the factory, then surely there must be some paperwork to show what work they have done on your car.
