Sachin, have you called on the numbers I have given to you and spoken to Kaushik? He is extremely helpful and I suggest you should give it a shot.

Also, please attach the invoice that you have from the dealer and any document given by Fiat so we know what repair's they have carried out so far. This will also help in solving the problem. Priority now is to solve this issue so you have a problem and defect free car.

@Sachin, Well it's one way to protest, you can do it, but the real question is whether it will really solve your problem. If you search in the internet, there are just too much issues happening with Skoda India, but still they are selling their cars and people are buying. Unless people really experience such kind of issues, they don't really take it seriously, they will just sympathies saying you are just unfortunate to face this thinking this will not happen to them. So my point is such protest may not bring the intended result. Go, take the legal route, in most of the cases the manufacturer finally compensate it. The sooner the better. Best of luck.

Better sell the car and go for a new one. I understand it involves money. But it gives peace of mind.

Not So Soon ! If FIAT fails to resolve the issue to Sachin's satisfaction then it would not be unreasonable to approach the consumer court.

- He has the service receipts
- He has given enough opportunities/time to fix the issue
- He has been co-operative and sincere enough to get the issue resolved

After all this why should one just 'let go' ?

Dear Sachin,

Matter of Grave concern. All the purpose of customer has been defeated.Simply u ask a replacement from Fiat and put your documents on the table of consumer forum if fiat do not agree to terms.

I am of the opinion that you should use all options to get your car replaced or otherwise go to consumer forum with the plea of replacement and compensation of mental tension .

You can follow one last ray of hope -

Send a legal notice, drafted by an advocate to FIAT. It can be directed to the CEO in India and a copy to their Head office abroad and 3 heirarchally lower officers than CEO.

It should mention that if the car isnt replaced now, as its un-rectifiable then you shall move the consumer court and sue fiat and all representatives who helped to hush up the matter and did not cooperate with you.

Hope this helps.

I have read all the threads. I too own a fiat for last 4 years (first an Adventure Sport and now a Linea). I suggest, you must take it up very strongly with Fiat Senior management. Also drop a mail to Fiat Italy. They are very responsive. You must fight for your case, as a new car buyer you have every right to peaceful ownership of a car. Having said so, I have owned Maruti, Hyundai before. I am very happy with the service extended by Fiat to my cars for last 4 years. My worst experience was with Maruti. Suggest, if need be, visit the ranjangaon plant and ensure you are heard by all the babus sitting there. In my opinion, you are unfortunate, as such cases are rare even for Fiat and once occurred, any manufacturer will behave the same way. I have worst experience with my Hyundai few years back. I can only say that, Fiat is listening to you and extending their help. Only unfortunate part is, they should rectify it asap or replace your car. In my opinion, you must fight and fight till you are given peace of mind.
