I have a Hyundai i10 era 2008 model. By default, the bulbs that came in the headlamps were "12V 60/55W, P43t). But I wasn't happy weith lighting I changed them to Hella H4 (12v 100/90W), the gu who chanegd the bulbs aklso put a relay so that holders should not get burnt out.

But guess what, I am stioll not happy, both the throw distance and the brightness of high/low beam isn't sufficient. Some guy in the NOIDA Sec.16 market put soerm foglights for s.500 (a pair) sayignthey were original, obviously they weren't.

Is there anything else that I can try? Anything but HD, too expensive and blinds the guy coming towards you. I read somewhere that Philips Power Extreme bulbs perform very weel? Can anyone verify this? Laos, any idea about the specs, cause there are hundreds of them in the market.

I am a newbie to cars so really lost right now.

Appreciate your response.

The relay is for preventing the light switch from getting burned and not the bulb holders.

For protecting the holder you will have to invest in ceramic ones.

If you are unhappy with the 100/90 W lamps then there is little scope for improvement. The Philips bulbs are 55/60 watts but burn brighter and last for lesser duration of time.

Get your head lights focussed -the real issue might be there.

Also do note that the 100/90 bulbs are illegal and will blind the oncoming driver more than the HID bulbs(which are indecently rated at 35W).
