recently i bought an indica vista on 15th october and was offered free insuarance. The insuarance form and other forms were filled by me and they entered the data in front of me to ensure no mistake is done.yet they did a spelling mistake in both insurance papers and rc book by putting U instead of A.How significant this mistake can be..i have demanded the mistake to be rectified and they say it will take them 20 days minimum.

Should not be a problem, it's a minor mistake. I guess what matters in the engine/chassis/vehicle number to be printed correctly in both the insurance/RC.

Anyways do get it corrected in both places.

Please tell us name of the insurance company. I also had similar issue with my car insurance but Bajaj Allianz has rectified this immediately once I brought this in their notice.

Such mistakes are generally rectified immediately in Insurance Policy/Records but it takes some time in RTO records/RC Book.  Nothing to worry.  Follow-up & get it rectified.
