Yes same thing I want to highlight.. and fully agree with Surjeet and Naveen above. Here the most hiped car is punto. Its getting tremendous appreciation on net only... but even they who are favouring the Punto.. I am sure owning some Maruti D'zire or Swift or I-10 or ven Alto and WaganR. We here hate to discuss about Alto and WaganR. But that are the public car. If a large number of people liking them.. there is no harm in that. And we should accept the reality. And that is the current time for punto is not so good as it was anticipated by the net discussion. In this series next hot product is POLO of VW.. lets see what happens with it.

May I ask where do you get these numbers from? It is very interesting to have these regularly.

May be car wale can use it as a valueble add-on on the website itself. Will be a big boost to our site!!1

Exactly Himanshu,

I was wondering carwale should add these figures here on monthly basis like a graph...would be lot helpful for prospect buyers as well as it would help in SEO aspect for the website.

I think Carwale should get these numbers on regular basis at their own. Its a great sight.

Nice thread.  Thanks Narendrasingh.

Yes, that's a brilliant idea - CarWale should acquire the sale figures of cars & publish those in the Forums every month (suggestion just forwarded).

Thanx.. After all a keen watch on market will give a better look and position of the cars we are talking about. It will also help in making mind for going any specific product. My intention was only to show the people that what they talk about is slightly different from the existing scenario. The public in mass thinks differently. And sir ji, public is never wrong.. it has been proved since long. If you are investing about 4-6 lac (middle class) you would like to take least risk and never go for the product in which he has less faith and trust.

Edit Remark: Please do NOT quote preceding post (since deleted).

Narendrasingh

Can you provide the figures every month if I gave you a template on Excel to fill in?

Do you also have historical figures?  I have figures upto April last year from Murad Ali Baig's Auto News Bulletin - unfortunately they have stopped that publication (or have stopped making it available to the public).

Would be good to start off where that stopped - we will need figures from April 2008 onwards.

Keep those wheels turning!
