I feel you should buy from your dealer. I know most will say save money and get from outside. But trust me if the persons outside screw up your wiring it can even short circuit your ECM (heart of you car). I have faced this issue with my zen(not central locking specifically but outside accessories). Moreover, nowadays one doesnt know what the uneducated installers will do just to get your device working and incase of defect will refer you only to manufacturer.

The 1000-1200 bucks you spend more from getting at dealer will be worth it and save your car a lot of long term trouble. It also comes with  a reverse horn from hyundai. It costs about 5k.

agree with anshum get it from dealer. but bargain with him and try to get a good discount

you can go for hyundai remote locking system . they are manufactured by autocop but specially for hyundai

the basic one  with just remote locking and reverse siren will cost around 3k

hyundai max which has immobiliser , anti hijacking feature and password feature comes at around 5k

the next higher is hyundai cobra which has body sensors . i think it is around 7k but not sure

yes its for about 7k. but in a place like india where every second guy raps his hand at your car its not worth it to get body sensing security kits.

I want to buy a new remote locking for my new i10 sportz..i have few questions in mind.

1) Is it recommendated to buy from Local vendors or it has to be from Hyundai delars

- Not recommended but advisable to get it installed from your dealer as the wire cut during fitting will void warranty (local installers also use the proper connectors but just to be on the safer side)

2) What will be approx. cost for Remote Locking in Mumbai

- I have installed 'Hyundai Cobra' in my i10 from the dealer at Rs.5300 in Pune, it should be near to this.

3) What brands are good ?

- Known good brands are Autocop & Xenos, Hyundai Max & Cobra are manufactured by Autocop..

Thanks in advance ! Smile
