Which colour is the most prefered colour for cars in India?

Previously it was White. Now i think Silver is also as much popular as White. Why these two colours are still dominating?

And which colour is looking HOT and Sexy?

(sorry if similar threads are there, i didnt find any similar threads)

I think WHITE is still number one . There may be numerous reason for it. One is ours is a hot weather & cooling is better in white coloured car compare to others. Also better visibilty at night for others cars on road. Also it is believed to be a pure colour.

Why it is so? While iam booking my new Dzire, i choose any colour other than white (because, we had an white Ikon, and just for a change).  But the salesguy pressured me a lot to book White or Silver.  Atlast i booked White... Laughing (personally i too like white)

Is maintanance cost is that much high for dark colours?

White color is best.. as it helps better visibility for other vehicles while driving in the night.

Silver has an advantage that scratches/dust are not shown when compared to other colors.

And also white's good for summer, white is cheaper and white cant be said as  a bad color by many beacuse its a neutral color and to be exact it has the advantages of not being a black.

Also the most important reason, White colour cars in our country signify power since all government cars- ministers and beaurocrats move about in official white cars!

Hmmm...

But then it should signify corruption:P

LOLz.

Just kidding,I think owing to better resale was the driving force for more whites seen in earlier days.

I would say Swift patronised white making it more popular owing to overall appeal of that car in White colour.

Needless to mention parents forcing White to their kids.[my case]

Which at the end of the day somehow is more practical colour for daily use.

Dents are not magnified to mammoth proportions[like in black]

Easy to maintain.

No issue of paint showing those minor scratches in daylight.[hardly noticable]

Dust is hardly noticeable.

Is more safer colour for vehicles driven in night time frequently.

signifies purity and more or less is a reflection of your personality[to an extent,Exceptions still exist]

On the other side-

Even Fly shit can be seen from a distance.

Demands proper mopping with clean cloth than darker shades.

Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.

White colour however becomes dirty very quickly when compared to other colours. So that’s a disadvantage!

We all are talking about colour which look good -- but how about Pink Zen Estilo? Cry
