I have Indica Xeta GLS LPG model(sept 2008).Its spare wheel consumes space in storage area, because of this i can not install good ice setup(no space for rear speaker n sub) and less space for luggage.can i put it on outside of rear door like sumo, safari?

It can be done and looks good in a very youthful sort of manner.  I'll post some pictures later of what one of my friends has done with his Indica - he's cut the car and turned it into a coupe, and has the wheel mounted on the outside.

Your enthusiasm is infectious, so I visited the old forum to pick up the links posted by me over 3-4 years ago:

Wow...those eyes are transplanted from a Corolla...neat, neat finish.
Is the spare wheel mounted on a bracket (which is fit by some method on the rear door) ?

YEah the lights were from a Corolla when these pictures were taken - now he has lights from some other car (cant remember which one) and it looks much better.  He has also changed the paint job.  The dash & plastics are the same from the original Indica, but he has had them PU sprayed with a beautiful silky-matt black.  The seats are from a Safari or something.

The car was a V1 PETROL INDICA, by the way.  It runs beautifully - the guy used to own a TASS and chose the V1 petrol as in his opinion that engine was brilliant for drivability.  You should hear the exhaust note - its perfect bass!

Slightly OT, but are these kind of extensive mods allowed without RTO getting into the roadworthiness of the reworked car, and re-validation of registration?

There is a lot of scaremongering in the name of RTO frowning upon 'modified' cars, hence the question.
