Insurance quote for LPG vehicle

I am buying a spark ls lpg, ex-showroom price is 370000 - 42000 (discount) = Rs 328000/-

How is the IDV calculated? I am assuming it is based on the the ex-showroom price and not on road price.

The quote the insurance company gave was something like  X amount for IDV 328000 plus Y amount for LPG/CNG kit.

How should one deal with models having factory fitted LPG kit ? Shouldn't X itself cover lpg kit ?

Ist IDV is ex-showroom price less 5%.

In case of company retrofitted LPG/CNG, generally Insurance Companies bifurcate/reflect separately the LPB/CNG cost, as per their requirement. It would, however, not make any difference in the Policy cover to us.
