Wagon-r is basically a problem free car. Remember one thing, Dont drive it very fast on highways because its a tall car and not very stable at high speed.

Mileage we got from Wagon-r in city is 12kmpl with a.c.

Other problem, its not very strong. Weak apren in case of minor accident.

For you Wagon-r is the best option for you keeping in mind resale value and service availability.

Sagar's post/speculation on which car Maruti could possibly discontinue etc., has been relocated in to a new thread in the relevant section - have a look.

hi.

If you have budget around Rs4 lakh. These are 3 best PETROL cars to consider. 1.Chevrolet spark 2.Hyundai i10 3.Maruti Ritz. Tata indica vista is great car,but According to me Fuel Efficiency is than other cars. If you are considering only Maruti and Tata, you should go for ritz. Car has latest K series engine which is highly refined and fuel efficient too!Interiors are also good,Due to short wheelbase rear legroom is not that generous, but thats not the huge problem. You cant call it cramped,There is ample of headroom and shoulderroom.so compensate! second choice should be i10!

My take for the BEst petrol in his price bracket is NEW ESTILO,Bhatat IV compliant and all new engine much more refined and good VFM.

Needless to mention good fuel Economy.

I would suggest you not to buy Wagon -R!

Sid.

Congratstulations for the car..

its a maruti... great one!

Few words on running in method and other dos and donts

1. consult your manual for running in method also called as break-in period. Ideally speaking there are different opinions about Whether really the break-in/running period should be followed or not... but I would say, car is  valuable (both emotionally and practically) to us so, better to be gentle with her ;). Your manual would definately talk about it.

do not revive your engine.

do not drive at high speed.

make sure to change (upword) the gears at the mark of 2k rpms.

in 5th do not go beyond 80kmph

use 1st just to move on... change to 2nd immediately. : (General practice to be used even after break-in )

while  changing the gears down-words try to follow the countdown 4-3-2-1, than just jumping on like 4-2, etc. (General practice to be used even after break-in )

gurus to add more.
