Consider i10 Era then. Estilo is not good (personal views).

You need not to worry about the maintenance very much. All the car makers are providing spares and keeping service cost as low as possible. In maintain you car section, you can check Chevrolet Spark thread in which I mentioned Parts prices of High Maintenance Car Maker GM India You will find its pretty cheap.

So, pick a car which you like most.

i10 Era is better than Estilo (good car).

Thanks guys!!

As I mentioned, in my hometown we don't have dealership or service center for GM or Hyundai (nearest being 120km far) so I have just two choices Tata or Maruti.

So I have to go for a Maruti/Tata car.

Thats a valid point because its not easy for everyone to spend a full day for servicing. See, you need not to worry about the break down. I dont think any car will give you trouble before 3 years and by that time you will see service centre is in your town or nearby.

Your options are limited now either a Vista Safire or Wagon-r/Estilo.

Test drive Vista, Wagon-r & Estilo with family (Rear passengers too) and tell us your observations. Wagon-r is trusted and a successful car but Tata's petrol cars are not popular but I would like to add that we are using a Xeta since 06 without any engine problem. Over 59000 kms covered and space/comfort of Indica is the best.

If you want to keep this car for 5 years or more then Resale is not that important otherwise Resale value of any petrol car of Tata is not good till date.

Thanks Rajiv!

After all these feedbacks and other constraints, we have almost Zeroed in on WagonR and yes we'll switch it in 2-3 years.

Congrats!

Nothing is better for you if you will switch it in 2-3 years. Wagon-r is the best when it comes to Resale value.

@ sid,

You are on right track,  Wagon R is the best as compare with other in its range,  company offering around 30K-40K discount.

You check at dealer.

for Maruti Service is not an issue, any where.  and ahead with any other car company > say tata or any other.

My suggestion stick with LXi or VXi,  say no to Duo because saving is very less compare to pickup and space with resell value.

best of luck.

You mean pickup, space and resale goes on toss if we go for Duo?

DUO may fetch 10-12K more of resale - but that should not be the criterion for buying (obviously).

Savings on LPG isn't much (discussed before at post 3).  Would benefit only if run/usage is substantially high.  People normally think of CNG - savings point of view (subject to availability).

Performance, howsoever good, will not match with that on Petrol.  LPG is said to give a power-loss of 10-15% approx.  The same would, however, not matter much in normal driving conditions & style.

All in all, Petrol is better.
