Sid, check out your service station. Ask genuine users for feedback. I am getting good service from only one service station of Ford & GM India.

If you want to hold this car for 5 years, Resale is not an important issue.

Ritz is a better car definitely (looks subjective) and so in Vista. There is not much difference in Resale value of Vista Safire & Chevrolet Spark and I guess Spark's resale value will be better than the Vista Safire for sure. Ritz is from Maruti and so no worries!

Hi Sid,

Chevy spark is soon going for a facelift, as is te case with Wagon R. If you really want to compare, check out Ritz Vxi and i10 1.2 kappa. Both are very good cars, with brilliant engines and ample inner space. Have a TD of both and settle which you like best.Smile

Sid:

I wud like to add one more to the list, Yes! Zen Estilo... As it is a car from Maruti's stable, it wud have less maintainance and the New facelift adds to the Positives along with the K-Series Engine...

i10 is a gud choice as it is already tested and has got gud reviews all over...
Chevy comes with loads of discounts, 3 yrs maintainance free and so on!

Apart from that it is better to leave out A-Star & Wagon R for reasons already discussed at length over this thread...

i also liked spark but dropped it after knowing that there will be new version of 800 cc of spark and another of BEAT 1.2 both by first half of 2010.

cant say about the status of present spark then ?

also launch of wagon R and alto with K series engine is sure , most probably with new emission norms by april 2010.

Yeah 800 Cc & Beat is in pipeline but Spark will remain Spark. In small segment, Spark is the best VFM and best seller from GM India.

You can consider Ritz by extending your budget, but on SPARK the regular servicing is free upto 45,000 km (cashless) and there is warranty upto three years/1,00,000 km.So relax after buying this car. For resale company has started its own "Chervolet OK" a second hand car outlet. In Delhi fully loaded SPARK on road will be around 3.5L.

Thanks a lot to all of you for replying.

But the problem is that at hometown Chevy does not have dealership or service center so that leaves Tata or Maruti.

So far we are inclined towards Wagon R as Ritz is exceeding our budget. In between, can we consider Zen Estillo?

if maruti... try and streach a little bit... to get the Ritz...

rests care you talked about..will not give you a good resale value.. unless u r thinking of changing in very short time.. say 2-3 yrs.

thats my opinion.. others may differ.
