Bro, comfort & feel at the driving seat for 5/6 years or money? If money is that much imortant than why a Sedan? One can buy a Vista Quadrajet (space/comfort is as good as few Sedans) only. Why people r buying a Mercedes C-class? U think resale is good? Check out the Resale value of Honda Accord

Its personal preference only, Class & Comfort does matters! Calculations are handy but atleast I dont think about selling any product at the time of buying. Mujhe pata hai mujhe yeh car 5-6 saal use karni hai to mai comfort ko preference dunga na ki 50k or 1 lac ko aur wo bhi 5-6 saal baad k

Honda city I accept is a great car (Largest selling too in metros) but see how much you are spending at the time of buying? Difference between price of Honda City and other cars of its segment? So wat if u'll get 1lac more for your honda city after 5-6 years? abhi tum 1.5lacs jyada dekar purchase bhi to kar rahe ho? And Optra is a segment above honda city, jyada lambi bhi hai and better interiors too

as u said sx4 it really nice & felt is great Value for Money so it is better to buy it. and it looks as equal as honda city when u have glanda on it. and even more economical when compared....

if u really dont mind of money then go for honda city.....one thing sx4 has greater value for money but in honda u need to pay 4 brand itself

Doc, Honda city is having 1497 Cc engine & SX4 is having 1586 but power of city is 118PS@6600rpm's whereas SX4 is having 102@5500 may be thats why he is saying Performance of Honda City is better than SX4.

I have test drive --Honda City  and SX4 ZXI model today.

Honda City: Very low ground clearence. As soon as speed breaker comes, you need to slow down very very slow so that lower part not touch speed breaker

Not worth of money to spend . very very low on feature supported--> automatic climate control, basic things line CD/Mp3/DVD player not present at all. Salesperson was just talking about --brand and brand value rather than talking about actual features supported. Also while driving felt like--driving very low power car. Total waste of money ..not looking good

Surprisingly, SX4 scored good on driving power car feeling. It has good amount of features loaded in there. but one big problem I found is : power steering not that good..felt like I was driving Truck (not sure is it because: I drove Honda city initially) is interiors still needs improvement (it does not look that high quality).

Now I am in Dilemma, since I was thinking of going for honda city or Sx4 but choices are now reduced.

Should I stretch a bit and go for Chevy Cruze ?  I would like to buy car on before Jan 2010. Please advice. I also heard that Maruti Kizashi is going to launch in Jan 2010 . Any one has any idea

Besides all what you have mentioned,it looks to me that you can stretch your budget to CRUZE,and indeed that is killer for even civic and corolla.

Better TD it yourself to please the hidden Enthusiasm in you, wish you luck and wishes.

CRUZE will be a better pick out oof the ones you mentioned,Compared to City SX4's steering is bit on the heavier side-but thats not an issue as it gives you more response from the road.

Maruti's has established in India as they were the first to bring the low cost 800  cars in India otherwise Suzuki is a major flop world wide.  No doubt they have extensive network due this they are gaining a lot.

Some of the dealers in delhi like competent, DD motors are not good.  They hardly attend the customers.  Infact customers attend those sales consultants as they know people are going to buy their cars.

Regarding Honda city, I have been constantly contacted by the two major dealers in Delhi namely Samara and Ring Road Honda.

Yes Honda cars are poor in Suspension and the body metal is also very poor.  Here in India we are the people to blame for making the hype.

Like toyota qualis was failure everywhere and in India it was a hit.

Car manufactures know the mentality of ours.

If we will not change ourself these car manufacturers will going to take us for granted.

Agreed to you except SUZUKI being FLOP,worldover.

Its just because of comparison.

Nothin can be compared to India at present where we stand today.

It would astonish you but yes People in India are more than just Brand concious.

They seek better quality and in the run Price is not the major factor for them anymore.

We seek justice to every penny we drain for the Cars we purchase.
