@Sunny-why specially the Indica?

Also the 165 section would be overkill.

165/65R13 wiould be overkill why? It will enhance the look of the vehicle without hampering cjump of the vehicle

Well first off tyres are not for 'show' (alloys can be to an extend)-the difference in OE diameter to that of the upgrade will affect the way the car handles and rides.

From the 145/80 section OE tyre the 155/65 has a variation of less than 1% while for the 165/65 section would be almost 1.5% to that of the original diameter.

Moreover the wider tyre would require more steering effort and also induce quite a bit of tram lining.

how about 175/60 R 13 g3 potenza guys?? the diameter doesnt change at all.

set of 5 plati alloys 13 inch* 5.5J is just prefect, just get it installed by a good tyre care center

Avinash if you follow the previous posts then you will realise that even a 165 section tyre on the Alto would be pushing the limits.

175 section tyre will be overkill. The diameter that we are talking about are the over diameter of the turning wheel and tyre combo and not about the wheel size which will remain constant at 13".

thanks binoy, i visted a couple of tyre dealers in b'lore, i kinda like the tyre 155/70/ R13 which is 7mm higher than my OE tyre and i like 155/65/R13 which is 3 mm lesser than my OE tyre but wider, XM1+ looks like 165 even though its just 155 on paper

both the tyres are micehelin XM1+, which one do i select?

now my question is, i dont wanna invest 13k on alloys, i am planning to put A Star black rims, i checked at MGA spares its 13 inch *4.5J and they cost 600 rs per rim. is there are any other way i can improve the cosmetic look of wheels?? any suggestions or ideas?? no wheel cap ideas pls guys :P

155 section tyre would sit better in the considered 4.5J rim than the 165 section which atleast needs a 5J rim to perform well.

As the A* wheels are steel they can be painted to mat ch or contrast your cars body color.

Avinash, guess you did not understand what i said above. The wheel are steel(not color but material) so they can be painted with whatever color that takes your fancy. There is only so much that can be done without going for wheel caps.
