Hi

You can opt for cruze. It is comparitvely cheaper when compared to both the laura variants. You can save around 1.5 - 2 lakhs. It is more powerful than the laura. Cruze is absolute VFM.

Pranab.

I would suggest Cruze from the point of veiw that its VFM. I am not sure though for the back seat comfert but belive Skoda is slightly better from various reviews.

Skoda is a great car but having issues with after sales & maintainance cost. While GM is offereing good after sales on paper atleast as of now. But I am sure GM is showing much more commitment & aggression towards Indian market which will certainly benifit customers.

DO advise if you have TD both the cars.

Its Cruze from me.

Welcome Pranab here in CW.  You have been active in other forum as well wherein same confusion you were into.

Cruze is at Present in diesel varaint.  Your daily usage is also less. For that Petrol is advisable and once in a month you are travelling 200 KMs for which you will be paying more for diesel variant for which you will not even consume so much worth of petrol in years.

Cruze LTZ is top end variant. and you get all the features at a good low price.

laura in petrol is base model and top end model elegance is in Diesel.

No doubt laura is a good car but A.S.S is very poor and cost of spare parts is also very high.

Do the TD of both the cars and take wise decision accordingly.

Astavinayak is the chevy dealer, go there and do the TD of cruze.

Between the two, it's a no brainer. Go for the Cruze. There are far too many sales, service, product reliablity and maintainence issues with the Laura. Not only will the Laura be far more expensive to maintain but Skoda dealer's IMO are easily the worst in the country!

Why don't you look at the Jetta? For some reason, VW seem to be faring a bit better then Skoda in reliablity and service parameter's.

Cruze has outshined Laura[costly at hand and maintenance],Jetta[do],Civic, and Corolla by car and bike show on NDTV.

Not just that,i have driven the vehicle and it feels more of rocket science not just to drive but also in real when you push the throttle on the highway.
