Please clear my doubt about the reasons why it causes more wear compared to petrol. One point which i have seen from your earlier post is that cng does not have lubricating properties.Sorry to sound little silly, but i thought only oil does lubricating. Please provide some information on this.

Any fluid that has some viscous properties are lubricants as well.

Since Petrol is a Petroleum oil product that does provide with some lubrication to the Cylinder heads when they move up and down!

Another issue has come now....CNG was indeed a boon when it delivers more mileage per 100 Rs than petrol or diesel. Recently Govt has approved a proposal from petroleum ministry to incease the price on CNg by 33%Surprised which means, in Delhi, CNG is coming at 21 / kg will bounce to Rs 27-28 / kg...which is very near to diesel which is at Rs 32 / litre. Now it wont be that beneficial to run a car on CNG economically....this is not fair now...!!!! If Iran -Pakistan-India gas pipeline would have started working by now then we would have infact seen a price drop...!!

Thats a sad news bro. In case of price hike,CNG will become costlier than Diesel, atleast on running.

Yes that indeed is the trick. My personal opinion is to raise the price for atleast two years so that people can have good amount of time and patience to test and look for alternatives. With every third month something or the other getting a price hike it becomes almost impossible to munch down the expenses. Besides it just takes away an avg consumer of the plans to cut down the cost of survival. Now the hike in bus fairs and metro's has made it even worst. A day will come when you will be owning a bunch of taxis for saving your own cost of traveling and minting some money as well.

But hows that possible to have two categories of prices for the same fuel?

Sounds more relieving but i still have my doubts on that!Innocent
