New SX4 launched

The new SX4 has been lauched. Saw Full page Ads in the leading newspaper today. Most prominent changes are: -

• the alloys and VTT tag on the side.
• Different front grill with a honeycomb mesh
• Colors have changed slightly. My fav. Red has been replaced by blue . and a new Choclate color has been introduced. that will be interesting to see on roads.
• Engine power has only improved marginally, but there was no need to do anything in any case. Hopefully the mileage improves further.
• Interiors seem better than before, so that is a welcome sight.

The Prices are are in the given range.(ex. Delhi) vxi MT 668125.78 ZXi AT802128.79. So no major changes there as well.

Pl compare with the old prices of SX 4

Old prices were on higher side

No, the new prices are slightly on the higher side.

However, there is not too much of a difference. Around 10 to 30Ks (based on variants and cities), in terms of ex.showroom. However, with the kind of discounts that were offered earlier, the difference might turn out to be slightly more.

The bottom line is: that these changes will not affect the sales in anyway. Slight modifications will really not help Maruti drive the sales upward in any significant manner.

Congrats Maruti for complying to the Euro 4 norms in advance.

SX4 was an excellent package even earlier but of late their sales were less as people were waiting for new version.

I am more than happy with my SX4 ZXI which is an excellent car ,

Still there was much expectation on New SX4 but these minor changes has let me down..

Changes :

Increase in 1 BHP with New VVT engine and torque still remains the same.

Increase half kilometer as per ARAI testing..New SX4 - 15.5 kmpl compared to old - 15.0 Kmpl

Interior changes - somewhat light shade of brown & beige, which they say as Brown & Beige combination..

USB Port - looks like very cheap quality material used in it..

10 spoke alloys & wood finish in armrest.. i loved it..

Honey comb grille, same as New G V.. Not so great looking..

4 speed automatic.. Waiting for its performance report..

Overall.. Still it lacks the punch to beat Big ones like Honda City & Ford Fiesta..

Totally disappointed...

   Please give the points of happyness in detail.I do agree it is a betterr car.But still I want to see the situation when it wiil be popularised as Honda City. I want to see SX 4 on the roads as Honda City.
