hey guys...

on the same forum i read the topic the comparison between manza and the linea.

but in my opinion..linea is a class above car when it is compared to indigo manza which is launched to target the average entry level sedan customer.

so my question is..what will you buy the shows topper Dzire or the new baby Indigo Manza?

both have their own advantages and disadvantages....like the rattling issues in dzire and the taxi image for tata products.

our each reply with clarification will be helpfull to new prospective customers as well as the auto freaks.

thank all in advance.

Mods please take part in discussion..your replies will be very helpful for all of us...!!

Even I agree that one should not compare Linea and Manza.

However, reg Dzire and Manza, I feel it is having far better looks than dzire. The space is more. interior is far far better than dzire.

This car will definately pick up sales and give tough fight to Dzire.

Performance can only be evaluated after we get reviews of Test drive. Has anybody done the TD?

not done the test drive but surely (on paper and pictures) Manza appears to be FAR better than Dezire.

The features are more, (i think) the car looks better than Dezire and as for space... well everyone knows tatas can fit an elephant in an indica!

Again, would have to wait for someone who has driven Manza (or both!)

price of both the cars seems to be smilar but what about the features..

can anyone give a nice comparision..

Regarding performance, before the Manza owners could give respectable experience, auto megazine and other brand owner will jump guns to conclude that Manza is underpowered, blah blah even with its 90ps MJD engine. Because both Vista and Linea MJD had the same gear ratios as Linea (except for first and reverse, I suppose) and auto megazines and non-owners are hell bent upon proving it slow and underpowered. I expect Manza too to share the same gear box and ratios of Linea and it will not be long before people give their horrible comments on the performance part. Or has it already started?

In one forum which I left not along ago, and in famous megazines, I see how people jump into conclusions like Swift/Dzire are much quicker and faster than a Linea MJD, while the fact is that Linea's gear ratio makes the perfect sense for a real condition driving. And given in some rat-race on the roads, Linea eats them raw (or was it just that I happen to meet only bad drivers). And still, people have not accepted to change their mind. I know Linea is not a power house but not an underpowered car either (not if one is used to its gearing). So, I believe Manza will not disappoint its owners on performance front. And in that price point, Manza diesel should be tood good a car (if you care for car, not brand). Whether it sells or not, we will have to wait and see.

BTW, featurewise, DZire has auto-climate, alloys and fog lamps and Manza has mileage indicator and Blue&Me.

Here's comparison between the top 2 petrol versions of the two cars & like-wise here's in case of 2 diesel versions.  Go through the Specifications, Features & All Features.

Manza surely scores ahead of Dzire.

I was to take test-drive of Manza (both versions) this morning but unfortunately it got delayed till mid-next week.  Will update on the same.

To me there is not much of a difference between the two. There are certain features in dezire that are missing in Manza and vice-versa.

All in all, similar cars and most probably having similar performing engines. The real difference will be the brand, becuase of which Dezire will continue to lead this segment, even though it will surely take a hit as now it willhave some real competition.

As far as Linea goes, it will be impacted in a similar way as SX4 was when, Dezire was launched. Let us not forget that the car buyers are not increasing that rapidly. Any increase in car sales of any brand or model, will definitely affect some other brand or model adversely. In this case it will be Dezire and Linea, both.

While I agree with Himanshu that Manza will eat away sales of other cars in the segment and above, the impact on Linea or others might not be as much as it would be on DZire. DZire impacted SX4 and SX4 sales came down to about 1500 a month. But Linea is already hovering much below that. Even if Manza eats all of Lineas sales, that is still only 1000 cars a month. So, the major blow will be to DZire. If Indica can beat Swift in sales for one full year month on month, why won't Manza beat DZire, that too Manza will be the faster and quicker and a lot more space than DZire. Purely my opinion. Will have to wait and watch to know the truth.
