What would you say of Toyota's current 3million cars recall in USA..Read below news in todays Automotive News

ABC News broadcast interviews this week with a number of Toyota drivers who said their vehicles suddenly accelerated out of control even though their foot depressed the brake and not the gas pedal. ABC cited reports of 16 acceleration-related deaths and more than 200 accidents.

Yes its sad story. But I was wondering, if something similar can happen in India. Probably NEVER, we may have laws, but don't have the system to make them work. The manufacturer will get away easily with 'Proper Contacts'. Cry

My point was ...some people in this thread were blaming TATA nano as worst car for 3 fire accedents..they may be ignorant of what is happening with other vehicle manufacturers.

One more news replated to Honda in todays Automotive News..

Honda has said the airbag inflator can rupture from too much internal air pressure, sending metal fragments through the airbag and hitting vehicle occupants. The company has acknowledged one death and multiple injuries from the defect.

Avoid the '......'-MODS

If thats the case why there is need for forums,

Its not ignorance, its curiousity to know what fate lies for all of us with such incidents and what we should look for in a vehicle.

Who said TATA nano being worst,We were discussing what is not right in that vehicle-safety.

And i abide by that.

I will never compromise on safety,Its better to walk on foot than risking our lives in vehicles that are not checked for such design failures.

These are accidents , may be design accidents.Accidents are accidents, it is more important what one does to take preventive actions after accidents. If Toyotas and Hondas had to go through it most certainly why others woudn't.

I agree but how far you are safe with walking when there are self accelarating cars around.

Also some interesting articles floated on the internet, saying that sudden acceralation may be caused by cosmic rays from spaceSealed.
