Choose Michelin 195/60 R15 tyre size and let us know about the upgrade and the pics.

I am sure slight bulge, will be minor enough to be overlooked.

Dont expect more comments form the people here, only people who have done it or in the process of doing have their attention on this thread.LOLzCool

Do enlighten us with pics of the same.

Emi, please do update us with pic.

Actually I am about to ask the same question in this fourm and I found this useful thread. Last week, when I enquired about the wheel upgrade (195/60/R15) for Swift, Shop owner told me the that the 5th wheel cant fit in stepeny space. So please clarify me as soon as you done with upgrade. Thanks.

Hey Emi - you left out the original question unanswered - why don't you put one of the upgraded tyres in the stepney moat and see for yourself whether it would fit or not... we are left scratching our heads thinking about it and you have just left it unreported!

You will surely feel something odd when you use you non-upgraded stepney on for repairs, but it can still work if you don't have to drive long for the patch. Maybe putting the old stepney on the rear wheels always would help somewhat, because steering won't pull to one side etc, but you will have to change two wheels instead of one, if the puncture is on one of the front wheels.

Just some useless info: Since Jan, I have worked without a stepney (covered about 7K km in the meanwhile). Also went on a trip to Chandigarh (~300 km one way) without any issues. Going without a stepney is not all that bad, if you carry along a battery operated pump (costs less than a rim these days). So I just lightened my car and got myself some free boot space!
