Never - generally kids sit in the back seat and myself and wife in the front seats.

I thought the armrest would be good to mark 'territory' for the kids who keep fighting among themselves for more turf. But it turns out both want the prime spot directly behind the gap between the front seats (where the armrest rests).

So the armrest never gets used.

Arm rest mainly used by people having chuffer, travel for long traffic hrs in city like Mumbai/Delhi, who mostly use that particuler vehicale alone or max 2 people in rear seat , using laptop or reading any matirial.

Unfortunatly those people are missing from this forum to paricipateCry in this thread. Hope some one will come forward & share the inportance of arm rest.

I certainly belive that if the above points are taken care than armrest will certainly provide comfert & luxury to the rear seat passanger.

Well i find it more absurd than of any use...

Ironically provided with cup holders to hold a drink when the whole gang is there...

I think its not luxury just a gimmick...

Or may be just like handles provided on top of every pessengers side, which we seldom use...

Maybe they will be more useful when they have airliner-like foldable tables popping out of them (the first rows after partitions have these). That would make using a laptop or eating (kids require munchies and food on the go) easier. As is, it is just a compromise.

hey...arm rests are very important...both in the rear & in front in the drivers seat...i strongly feel all the sedans should provide arm rests both in front & in the back...its very comfotable....i happened to take a TD of Hyundai Verna top model..which provides arm rest in the drivers seat...truest..it was like you are stitting on a SOFA & driving...so ARM RESTS R VERY IMP FOR ME...
