I think Vittal is right...

But thats a different perspective...

Considering what fate all indicas have[no offence],

I feel Linea is more than just VFM...

But again it depends, what is your prime concern...Brand or VFM or Your taste/appeal

Its just simple logic,a person who has spent life saving money to buy a new car one day, will definately ask these questions...

More VFM or just go ahead with something that will bring more benefits than regrets...

I really dont know much about manza here but i feel it might be somewhat better than the previous generation INDICAS...

I am bewildered at the buissness senseof FIAT India.

First they tried to seel Palio by using Sachin with loads of money.

Now they have fllen so short of confidence that they had a tie up with TATA.

I used to own a GTX . Till the service was with Fiat dealers it was all well.Once it was with Tata the car alwas got a step child treatment in service centers across the country.( I have Driven from Kanyakumari to Kashmir and Ahmedabad to Aizwal).

Now Tata comes up with Manza, essentially the soul of Linea in a less body package. Same goes for Vista and Punto. The gain is ofcouse by Tata.

Go to a Tata delarship. They will never talk about a Fiat car unless specifically asked for.

So after a couple of visits to Tata dealrship (who concidered my Palio unworthy for a loyalty Bonus which was anyway priced peanuts), I swiched over to MARUTI SUZUKI SX4.

The car may be 19 as compared to Linea but peace of mind during service and respectable resale is gaurenteed.

Kodos to Fiat to kill a Good car.

dear abhishek,

prices of manza starts at 4.80 lk & goes upto 6.75 lakh...i think manza will not be able to make much impact..since TATA cars have always faced "quality of fit & finish " issues.....if only it can manage half of what dezire`s sells today..it should find itself lucky....i have recently booked a dezire VXI..& will get the delivery in December..but am ready to wait...keep me updated if any1 take a TD of manza...

I think you are wrongMr.Manish. Have you ever driven used Dezire? or Swift? The build quality of both are so bad that it rattles too much and irritate while driving. I am sure the build quality of Vista is much better than Swift. TATA has shown the improvement over recent years!. So you can expect the build quality of Manza better than DeZire. Moreover, people simply created a hype for Dezire. Booking time of 6 months to 1 year is too much for such a scrap.

Manza is definetly VFM

But all newly launched tata cars have problems which are rectified over a period of six months atleast

For example see the vista

So it is better to buy manza after 6 months

True.....infact this is a advisable for all new cars. However Tata's record has been poor in this.

I have a Indica Turbo and it is really having high maintenance cost. Plastic quality is bad.

Thats the essence guys...

To wait and watch or to test yourself the time tested cars...

No end to pros and cons for a vehicle...Its ultimately lot of satisfaction, and few dissatisfied customers that are behind the success of any car you are buying...

Noones perfect...Atleast in the price range we are talking about...

But certainly Indica is not for someone who doesnt have patience and time to get his vehicle to a mehcanic to get it rectified more often than any standard car...

Rattles!!!

Is that the single most important criteria to consider while putting your hard earned money in a car?

[that too in cars run over 20k + mark?]

Or we assume that the premium Truck maker of our country has come up with something unique for Indian customers so much so that it can beat Swift/Dezire in any aspect including Rattles???

Hard to believe, still i have my cards open for TATAs to improve...

Only to an extent that only my grand children can get hold of one sweet TATA car which is luxurious, spacious and noise free...LOLsCool

Just my thoughts...If a Car manufacturer as mammoth as TATA cannot learn from numerous versions of indicas which launched previously, then i am sorry TATA must have had real bad commitments, more important than its customers...

Owning Part of Jaguar wont serve any purpose to an avg consumer!!!

Just be cautious and try out different things before you settle down on a vehicle...

"Who minds to see variety of cars on roads...!"Innocent

Take care...

I agree with manish...

Not just the quantity that maruti is supplying but also taking care of 99% of them...1% is where complains fit in...

tata manza = cheap, rugged and efficient. something a practical person (indian) would go for

fiat linea = expensive(cost + maintenance), better looking & sophisticated

imho, a driver who enjoys driving should go for a linea whereas a person who just needs a car and get his job done should for the tata car

personally i'd never buy a manza or any other tata car (from my past experiences (sierra, safari, another safari, indica)

the only tata car that i might buy is the xenon!Tongue out
