We went to Shravana Belagola, Belur & Halebeedu in Fiat Linea.  I thoroughly enjoyed driving new vehicle.  In the meanwhile, I successfully paired my Nokia Supernova 7210 with Blue&Me and automatically downloaded the phonebook in Blue&Me.  I could make/receive calls using steering control.  But, my Fiat Linea obeys my voice commands rarely!  However, I am comfortable with steering control.  Similarly, SMS reader does not work since my mobile does not support it, as per Fiat website.

Now, I am fully conversant with innumerable features of Fiat Linea, many of them not found in a market leader car costing more than Rs 10.60 lakh!  On the downside, the engine/exhaust pipe guard touches crude and big road humps, however careful the driver is.

It is already two weeks since I took delivery of my Fiat Linea.  I received three phone calls - 2 from Concorde Motors, Bangalore and one from Tata Motors, Pune - enquiring about my satisfaction, problems encountered, if any, etc.  I was also requested to give grading on various aspects of customer satisfaction, ownership experience, etc.  I generally gave 9 out of 10 for most of the topics.  However, coming to dealership experience, I expressed that it is always over-crowded.  I suggested that exclusive outlets, or at least, separate spacious section should be opened for Fiat products.  Because of this over-crowding and lack of privacy, I gave 6 out of 10 for overall dealership experience.  Fiat has recently introduced Fiat First - 24x7 Roadside Assistance with all-India coverage for all Fiat vehicles.  I think, Fiat-Tata are in the right track.

I shall write about fuel efficiency after completing 1000 km.

For the voice command to work, be a bit calm (possibly a bit toned) and slow in your words. It works most of the time for me now. Trying to make it louder by making shrilled voice does not help.

For the dial <number>, two has to be in pure English accent, something like tsyu, as you would have heard in kids laptops.

I downloaded the latest Blue and Me 5.4.09 update patch from http://www.fiat.co.uk/Content/Article.aspx?id=19155 and installed myself. It was pretty neat. Earlier my nokia 3120 classic address book would be loaded only with default numbers. Now, call <name> would respond with all the available numbers like home, office, mobile, etc. Also, it wouldn't earlier recognize abbreviated capitalized names like TV, I had to say something that sounds like "twa", not 'T', 'V', now, it just recognizes when I say 'T', 'V'. It is pretty neat now.

Thanks a lot, Opendro, for kind advice.  I saw about the latest version 5.4 in Fiat website, but I thought my Fiat Linea would have come with updated version!  Anyway, I will download and install it as suggested by your.

I successfully downloaded 5.4.09 version from Fiat website and installed it in my Fiat Linea.  Fantastic! It now shows service provider's name, earlier it showed '-----' after Bluetooth icon.  Now, my Fiat Linea obeys my voice commands!  Thanks once again, Opendro.

One common aspect I observed in all automobile fora is that Fiat Linea is being compared, and even polls conducted, with more expensive and leading sedans!  Linea vs ANHC, Linea vs VW Polo sedan, Linea vs Manza...This comparison of Linea with the market leader/leading brands itself shows that Fiat Linea is becoming more and more popular in India.
