How do I delete/replace Pictures in My CW Forum Album? Also, can the reviews be edited?

Though carwale is more liberal than other auto forums(read www.teambhp.com and www.theautomotiveindia.com) I feel, we need a more stringent moderation, with emphasis on proper writing decorum. Some of the posts are simply unreadable as they are written in sms lingo/conversational english. Even after many reads, it is difficult to fathom what the other person has to say, which in turn makes it hard for others to post their views. And people start a new thread straight away without searching whether a similar topic exists already, this scatters valueable information/feedbacks given by other users and is easy to miss, as we obviously won't go through every thread in the forum. What we need is review system which is partly like teambhp( I am not completely pro teambhp moderation system as becoming a member is a nightmare there. But, what we can't deny is the continous effort put by the moderation staff to ensure the posts are well worded and posted in relevant sub forums. I am a member there and searching for information is a breeze as compared to here which can get quite tedious and frustrating). We can have a system which strikes a compromise between the policies of both websites- don't trouble people with registration but moderate the first few posts of new arrivals to ensure they fully understand the posting decorum and etiquette of the community.

Click open your Album > select the checkbox of the photo to be deleted > click the delete tab provided therein below.  New/more photos can be uploaded through the provision 'Upload more photos' (just above the 1st photo in the Album).

Reviews can be edited through the provision 'Edit this review of yours' (just below pros & cons; before the review/write-up starts).

@  Sachin, we are dead against the use of SMS language etc. & have been requesting members concerned to refrain from it.  We are able to set-right to great extent as compared to what it earlier was.  Our efforts are on to ensure that it is set-right completely.  We are also working on various improvements & features to be introduced.  Thanks for the concern you share for the forums, and the suggestions you have offered.

Sachin, I understand the frustration on getting a straitjacket treatment and being talked down to on the other forum, and that is the reason why I frequent this forum rather than the others.

In terms of moderation, I feel CW has a judicious mix of leniency and strictness, as any forum is a constant state of flux - newcomers come and deserters leave (or go dormant at least). So it is not very good to be harsh on the newcomer, and to be very uptight about rules and stuff. People get an occasional slap on the wrists, and improve, or if vile behaviour persists, are promptly booted out. So it is good in that respect.

As far as searches are concerned I believe there is a new search application implementation ongoing, and it should solve many issues. Even otherwise, CW forums is pretty nicely indexed by google, and a search for ANYTHING with " site:carwale.com/forums" added after the search topic can lead to precise and relevant posts. This can be used in the mean time.

This was discussed before but am sorry I (in particular) have missed the development/status.  Will bring to Banwari's notice & update. Thanks.

I would like to have

1. PM - Private Messaging

2. Thanks/Groans for each post so as to inspire people to post useful content and seek credibility of posts

On a lighter note, CW can learn a lot from Pagalguy.com (just the modifications)
