As usual, after a short break, Kvsk re-appears,  steals the show and goes to the dormant state.

Really great information sharing, eventhough no plans for a new TV at present. Thanks for it.

OT: Kvsk, do confirm your participation for the National Meet. I am sure fellow members will be enriched with your presence.

Well, you are in Mumbai so we can meet up any time - Do drop in our place - Other than a few mandatory leave plans there is nothing much as of now.

Thanks for your comments Feroz - I have already gone through the National meet thread - Infact, I have been going through carwale, but not posting and participating actively because of certain reasons - I am getting too tied up at home and office. Our second kid is due by 22nd November and that along with office pressures are keeping me on and off.

Regarding the national meet, As I have posted in the thread before itself, considering the developments and depending on the situation, I will make it even if I get the slightest of the chances - but, it is tuff to predict anything as of now - I donno if I will be in Mumbai to start with.

I just couldn't resist posting on this thread as I am a real hobbist when it comes to electronics !! Thanks for your extended invite, but, most probably, I may not be able to make it.

Regards,

K Prasad

your info on component system was good,i should try them as well i believe,i dont need a dvd player, just the home theatre without player would do,yes,as you have mentioned only the basic onkyo comes at 21k and it was not goodFrown

about pansonic you were correct i didnt like their looks(besides i hate anything that's japanese!Frown, bitter experinece with swift and sony ealier,i have a soft corner for anything that's european, philips 29 crt tv bought 12 years back works exceptionally well even today as is my fiat lineaSmile),but your opinion about japanese good is correct, iam considering this time
