hello Everybody,

Does Stile and Punto diesel versions use the same engine ? If so, what are the featres in punto that make the price higher.

Actually I need to decide between the two and Punto is a little higher than my budget. So I am looking for reasons to go for the higher priced punto.

The feature I look for in a car are : mileage, Space for Rear seating, Boot space, Seviceability, looks and durability.

Thanks for the help.

dear friend, both are good cars, the major difference is that the stile is a decade old model, other than that it's a fantastic car,i think the rear seat of stile is even better than punto but the interiors of stile looks very dated, but if its' ok with you you can go for it,provided punto does not fit into your budjet, happy purchase

As said by Bala Stile has better rear sitting space, but Punto has bigger boot space. Stile is dated from inside and has depreciated and hence priced lower than punto. Punto is newer generation car. If you are OK with interior and boot space Stile will satisfy all your requirement. All the best.

Madhu,

Kindly also provide information as to how long you are going to keep this car for. Stile will depreciate real fast keeping in mind that its a dated car now and you will lose extensively when you sell it.

Cheers,
Naveen

@ madhu,

it is better to go for punto. as it is newer, fresher & has latest technology. palio is too old now & it has lost its charm. if u talking abt petrol than palio's 1.1ltr engine is not at all good on performance, punto s much better.

it is always better to go for a new product.

Both of them use the same engine.

Mileage for both will be more or less the same. Rear seat space is more in Palio. Serviceablity and durablity for both will be same too as both are Fiat.

If you can stretch for the Punto, please do. Having owned a Palio S10 for over 5 years and the Punto now, I can tell you that so good is the Punto's chassis, steering and ride and handling, that it almost makes the Palio feel outdated! Punto is higher priced because it's a newer car with more features - even the Active variant gets some of the My Car features.

I am not sure how important resale value is to you but do note that Palio's normally tank in the used car market. It's too early to comment on the Punto's resale but at the moment it does look like it will hold onto it's values better then Palio.
