Immobiliser commes with a good security system.

Xenos would be a good choice

bhardwaj,

thanks. i was interested in xenos FW 250 1A costs  4775. it comes with immobiliser facility.

but the dealer says they do only hyundai cop. eventhough autocop makes the hyundai product, dealer wont even do autocop's other products. and dealer is not having any immobiliser on hyundai cop.

he says if i want immobiliser i could have it done from outside, but the  car warranty will be void.

have read one thread in carwale about hyundai max and hyundai cobra. do these products have immobiliser and what is the cost?

please help

Hi

The dealer just trying milk some money from u.

If u get it done outside from a good reputed shop then u will have no worries.

Dealer will always say what is best for him

bhardjad,

thank you very much for the list provided.it is very useful indeed.

but what about the issue of car warranty being void, if i get things done from outside?

is it Hyundai policy or the dealer taking me for a ride?

and i hear that the immobililser offered by xenos, autocop and minda are not the kind of immobiliser provided by the car company. eg; icats in maruthi etc.

again dealer offered me a gear lock @Rs.5500. he says it cant be seen from the cabin etc. i guess it is too much overpriced. carwale discussions on gear lock quotes around 1600 to 2000 for a good gear lock. here also he invokes warranty issue. how to deal such dealers?

can we contact directly to HMIL on this issue?

any comments?

To be not being able to see from outside would be a -ve. The advantage of a gear lock (or any security system) being there and visible from external is positive deterrence against theft. If a thief can see the car is protected before entering, the would move on and not break the glass.
