Suggest the car to buy

I am planning to buy a car for last two month.  Already done lots of research. Test Driven Punto, Linea, Dzire, City, SX4, fiesta, Fabia, Jaaz, Accord, Altis, VW - Jetta and passat.

Passat is out due to not within my budget.  My budget is maximum upto 15 Lacs.

Hatch Back is also being ruled out as my mother dont like it.

My daily driving is around 30 Km so the priority is Petrol.  I may go for diesel also if the diesel variant is good.

SX4 is a good car with good GC but I feel its unstable, back seat in the middle is an issue and stiff suspensions.

Fiesta is outdated model, waiting for new model to be launched.

Jetta was good but found not much interesting as AC was not effective and got tired while doing TD.

Linea is also good but its underpowered.

Cruze is being launched soon. Already shiva at Ghaziabad is having the car on display.

Waiting for the gurus to suggest which car will be the best to buy.

With your kinda budget, I would rule out all the sub 10L cars.

My eyes would be on the upcoming Cruze/new Laura. These two are class apart when compared to the others in the list. Cant comment more as I am yet to see the Cruze in person. As for the Laura - I am bowled over it.

I have seen Laura but not yet done TD.  I know its having more features than VW Jetta and the Enginee is also new version. VW has brought old technology.  In laura spare wheel is not alloy, only four wheels they are giving alloy.

buying a Skoda car I think will be a problem due to horror stories read on various forums and high cost of spares. 

Cruze i have seen the reviews on TV and i am bold over seeing it.

Check out the sloda superb,exterior design is catchy and comes with good engine options.

Cruze is all set to be lauched on 26.09.2009.  Already one dealer named SHIVA is having the car on Display in Ghaziabad showroom.  Planning to visit the showroom on Saturday or Sunday.

Yes Superb is also a good one. But then I have to stretch my budget a bit.

Have sat inside the Cruze last year-the rear space was not that impressive(so also the seat fabric)!

Most of the big cars have it like that. Even the BMW's/Merc's.

I guess this shouldn't be a deterrent.

If Dezire,Fiesta and Lines is being considered you can also include New Aveo 2009.

The IVORY GOLD colour is eye cathcher.

Vs Dzire has become common these days and its swift from front and from back its SX4.  Cut and paste of boot of SX4.  Fiesta waiting for the new model to be launched soon.  Linea is under powered.

Big no to Aveo as worst car.

Ya, obviously i am not comparing with city, cruze, skoda laura as these are certainly above.

As per me Dezire is worst car, linea clear picture will come after a year and so but attractive looks, Fiesta OK but grounds clearance low, less height slightly less space in rear, shape didn't liked.

SX4 mental peace of maruti servicing but bulky car.
