Ford small car Figo is here!

I got an info from trusted source near ford plant here in chennai.

The approx cost of figo will be 5L. Top end models will reach the price of premium hatch.

It resembles Ford Fiesta, the hatchback inbetween Ford KA & Ford Fusion, as in Europe. They have named it as Figo as they have a Fiesta already in Indian market. If the next car from FMC (Ford Motor Company) would be Ford Focus, then that would be great. FMC is pulling all it's european models into India, I guess. Hot competition would be there.

Anyway, they have given a face lift to their Fiesta last year.

Appears a recycled Fusion to me especially from the back. Hood and fenders could have been changed with little effort, But may be the car is substantially the same... Just look at the oversize wheels - a Fusion trademark feature!

well it is going to be anywhere between the pricing of A*/i10 and i20. My guess would be close to 4 lakhs for the lower end model all the way upto 5.5L.

I wonder how many new small segment cars are coming in Ford.

I heard that the Focus is also under porcess.

Times of India reports that the price is expected to be between 3.5 to 4 lac range.

I  liked ford since i was a small kid. (10yrs). Now i got a job and decided to take a car. But ford was not in my range. so i was thinking about taking a wagon r in 2010 jan. but today only i saw something on a malayalam newspaper (mathrubhoomi) that ford is going to launch a new small car. Hurray!!!!!! I got thrilled by this move of ford. WOW, in the near future i can own a ford. I hope ford will price it in my range. (4-4.5L)
