Sorry, this query went unnoticed by all.

NCBs, as I remember...

1st renewal: 20%

2nd renewal: 25%

3rd renewal: 35%

4th renewal: 45%

5th, 6th & 7th renewals: 50%

8th, 9th & 10th renewals: 60%

11th renewal onwards: 65% (max).

Hi,

I have a typical situation.

My car insurance is eligble for Automobile Association discount of Rs 200/- and NCB of 50%. However, I am confused as to how the premium should be calculated. There can be two ways in which it can be done:

1. (Own Damage Premium-Automobile Association Discount) x NCB%, OR

2. OD Premium x NCB% - Automobile Association Discount.

In the first case, I will have to pay more by approx Rs 132/- than from the second case.

Please advice.

Regards,
