Metal rods on RITZ dont look all the good. I have seen people fit metal (front & back protection) in i10, vera and other cars. It looks really ugly. Drive safe and keep a distance from the car in front, you wouldnt need a bumper protector anyways.

-> As for repairing the dent on your boot door, i guess the dealer repair it and would have this covered under insurance. Enquire with the dealer and ask him to take care of it during first service in co-ordination with the insurer.

-> Teflon coating according to me is useless. I heard it would make it even more difficult to repair with teflon coating on the car. Since your car is already new, i advice not to go for the teflon coating. Most modern paints have a protective coating already on their paint surface.

More, over as for the antirust treatment, again newer cars are already treated with this underbody paint that prevents rusting. Unless you are in the coastal areas this treatment is not recommened.

->  2 DIN Music system, you can go for Pioneer, JVC, Sony & Kenwood. Please do get it fitted in any accessories shop and not the dealer. Dealer prices are exorbitant. Please refer to the ICE section for further details.

-> Security system -> Try XENOS, Piranha, Autocop etc., and again have it fitted outside from any good accessorties shop.

"You wouldnt void the warranty by getting these things fitted outside, the dealer warns you since he wants to make profit out of us" They treat us like s*c*3rs. But thanks for carwale we are smarter than them

-> Fuel efficiency and mileage, please do tank full and measure the mileage, but the real mileage would be measurable only after the 1st service or when you have clocked close to 5k KMs.

Thanks,

Hi

Security system

This will give u an idea about prices and models.

Out of the lot Xenos is better.

Instead of teflon go for an under body coating.

I would suggest u go for a JVC dvd unit with touch screen it will add to the bling factor if u can strech ur budget. It will cost u around Rs 18000.

JVC DVD models - KW-AVX805 , KW-AVX800

Get it done outside from a reliable accessories shop u wont have any money problems.

The dealer is trying to milk money out of u.

HI

I booked my i10 ,i got anti rust coating free.(with 5year warranty)

Dealer says I should get it done during my first service,as i10 already comes with a coating and delhi not being humid it is not required immediately.however I read that the best time to get it done is when I take dlvry of the car. Please advice

Also should i insist on some particular brand, and any precaution i need to keep in mind while I get it done.

I really have no idea about anti rust, looking for some advice urgently...

Thanks in Advance

When ur buying car for more then a span of 4-5 yrs i think anti rust treatment on under body parts is must, becoz any mud/dust stuck to ur engine, will create rust on it, which directly will not effect anything but when u resale the car.... it will add to the condition of your car.

TEFLON helps a lot . I used to get my accent coated on every service (7months) and it looks fabulous and all the little/light scrateches of BIRD DROPPINGS or light lines are removed. TRUST ME in 4 yrs my color didn't fade one bit but when i stopped doing it... in the 7th year.... the color has faded away badly.

AS far as getting ur warranty void... my car dealer told me... if u get things attaached from outside... justs ask him not to cut any wires.. meaning things like CD player shld be attaChed socket wise

antirust is basically done in the lower body part (underneat). It won't matter much if u get it done now or on first service.. since there is no rain in delhi as such......

if ur getting it free... y not go for it now.. its done once in 2-3 yrs i think.... service center guys won't be tht efficient as much as the guys at the time of delivery will be
