One major disadvantage with currently wagon r with cng has fuel tank capcity of 10-12 kgs is that with low pressure only 6- 8 kgs only can be filled ,,, with scarcity of cng outlet and longer waiting lines its big thumbs down ,

Anyone having any info about wagon r coming with bigger cng tank cpacity , if not bigger atleast equivalent to wagonr duo LPG tank .

For now I dont think there is any change by MSIL inline. Their stand upon the CNG capacity is that in case you run out of CNG, you will have the petrol option. Hence, at least in the near future, you cant expect much of a change.

That is due to the chemical characteristic of CNG and LPG. The CNG tank has a water filling capacity of 60litres, whereas the LPG is only 28litres. The difference lies in the measurement. Cng is measured in terms of KGs whereas lpg is in litres. So, assuming one tank of CNG holds 60litres of Cng, its equivalent weight will only be12-14kgs at max. Thats why the LPG seems to hold more fuel. But in reality, the CNG tank is bigger than the LPG tank. Also, the CNG wagonR Cng has a weight of 960kgs, whereas the Lpg and petrol versions stand at 925 and 970 kgs respectively. CNG adds up a conderable amount of weight to the car. Hence, the capacity stands at that amount.

So gaseous nature of CNG is the main reason ,,, hope they come up with bigger cng tank capacity ,,,,

IMHO, there is not much space for a bigger tank, and also it will add up to the weight. So, there is less possibility of that.
