I own a Ford Figo TDCi ZXi. And I just completed 20000 kms and got the car serviced i.e: 3rd Paid Service by authorised dealer Saluja Ford (From whom I purchased the car).
Overall I have felt that Ford is charging really high for a small hatch like this. I have got the service done as per schedule and no other stuff is included. Whereas the prices of oils, parts etc. is fine the price of Service Charges / Labour is very high. The detailed breakdown is following:

Now in this all is kind of okay, but isn't 1295 high for a small hatch car like this ? Is Ford trying to make money out of Figo at service level ? What happened to the low cost of ownership ?
In this service no Diesel Filter was changed and when that is changed it going to cost a lot more. This is very expensive. I have a Inova and its paid service costs Rs. 600 only. So why so high cost of service / labour ?
In this service / labour only washing is included. Nothing else, no alignment or balancing etc. I think its very expensive.
3K to 4K for a diesel car service is normal. You will not have to change break oil regularly, so next time your cost will come down. I dont find it expensive at all.
Since I dont own a Innova, cannot claim regarding its PAID SERVICE, which is Rs. 600.00 I find it ridiculous. Toyota dosent change air filters, oil filters, gasket, break oil, engine oil etc, & it all cost just Rs. 600.00 ??
Well its definitely not expensive - looks very reasonable, especially the cost of the items that have been replaced. The brake & engine oils are something to be changed at wide intervals so at the next service costs will be down as Manish rightly pointed out. The oil filter looks a bit on the higher side though...but not sure since I'm comparing it with santro's oil filter which can be had for about Rs. 80-100 (Purolator make).
I am not refering to the items cost. I am refering to service / labour charges which are 1200+ for just oil changes ? I mean I can get oils changed for as low as Rs. 100-200. Whats the point of charging 1200 for changing oils ???
As far as I reckon, when I was buying Figo the sales person said the service would range from 2000-3000. Also I have felt pointless paying 1200+ for just oil changes. 500-600 is the max one should be paying for services like these.
Anyways the cost of parts / oils is okay but service / labour cost is NOT OK. It needs reduction.
Well that's how they make money. If not on parts then on labour.
Its not fair though. Will the car's warranty void if i get it serviced from somewhere else ?
Well if the ASC guys come to know they will use it as an excuse to refuse warranty - they are more than willing to take money for doing anything!
Yes I just read the condition in the manual.
Paid service charges of Rs. 1.1k does not only include oil changes. General checks, fastening of nuts and bolts, washing of the car, any adjustments and everything else included in the manual are done. Only if there is some major work such as suspension/brake O/H, etc, you will be charged extra. Upto 5k for a car such as the Figo can be expected once in 10k KMS. Its quite normal. Major service will be @ 40k and 80k KMS only and that will cost more.
So you're saying companies who charge less does'nt do all that you mentioned. Please I know they do that and EVERY other company also do that but at a lower charge. Also I was told that next i.e: (30k) service / labour charges will be 850 instead of 1170.
Also now I have checked properly, they have not changed Clutch Fluid and AC Cowl Filter as they were to be replaced as per the schedule. Will ask them about that tommorow.
Also you're not getting my point, and that is Figo is not a big car it is a hatch and the cost of service / labour should not be that much IMHO.
