My use of car will be in weekends and looking for a car which gives me more milage & less maintenance. It should have fairly comfortable boot space to keep the luggages during long travels. Friends pls suggest which model I can look for..

Not sure if you can get within 5 lac. But you definitely consider A-Star ZXI with all the safety features included, or the Ritz VXI.

Please check your Carwale inbox. I have sent you a message.

Go for Ritz VXI or Wagon R top end with ABS and Airbag. These two will serve all your needs.

As per your post, it looks like city usage would be minimal. If you are mainly looking for highway driving, Figo also would be a good option. Though Figo petrol is bit underpowered, u would enjoy the space that it offers in the long drives and the car is quite stable too on highways.

Do check out details in other forums before finalizing.

For Ford FIgo - one should consider the FE and Maintenance Cost and here Maruti Ritz/wagon r wins with distinction.

fiat grande punto 1.2 emotion OTR Bangalore--> 5.95 Lacs

dynamic --> 5.5 Lacs

You may get some discounts on both but don't think will suit ur budget.

Ritz, wagon R,A star etc stables from maruti can't offer u much needed boot space.

and Both wagon R and Ritz won't offer u highway stability, both wallow around

the bed at speeds and handling may be at  at stake..

From maruti u can depend on swift and LXI 5.2 Lacs OTR suits ur budget

but is under equipped.

Next option can be figo which is an excellent handler and capable one.

Even the petrol one feels little bit under powered for an enthusiastic driver

for a normal drive it proved to be enough. U can go for ZXI OTR-->5.1Lacs

Another one is nextGen i10 kappa2 magna with OTR price of 5.14Lacs

which is adequately loaded and good vfm too.

If u can live with its shape and handling Ritz also can be considered.

Chose between swift lxi, ritz vxi(5.2 Lac OTR Bnglr),i10 magna and figo zxi.

But my last lot here would be figo Zxi and i10 vtvt Magna..

and still my winner is figo zxi(features, vfm, space, comfort etc for the budget)

Test drive all the above 4 and decide..

Wagon R got decent boot space and also quite stable at 120 km/hr speed.

Am driving one for the last 7 yrs. We had also managed to travel with luggage for 6 adults (4 mid size suitcase + 2 mid size airbags) - Packing is also an art ( Utilisation of any available space). Like keeping your shoes/chappals in individual packets and keeping below the fron seats.

What about the maintenance and FE of Figo
