Hi,

Please let me know the difference between Swift LDi and Swift Vdi. I know VDi has got more features.

Other than power window of VDi, any other features are really useful when compared to LDi

You can opt for keyless entry, it includes central locking. It will cost you about 4k

If you have the budget go for vdi.

1. central lock

2. fabric inserts in door pads

3. pwr windows

4. tachometer (rpm meter)

5. body colored handles, orvm cover

6. blackened b pillars

7. black rims with wheel caps. Though wheel caps can be put in ldi's silver rims, but looks odd.

8. other warning lights (door ajar, seatbelt etc)

9. Fog Lamps

If you want same features of VDI at a price of LDI with a bonus of OEM Music System, try Ford Figo 1.4 EXI.

only the rear power windows and fog lamps will be missed in Figo EXI

In VDi,  seats are different than LDi, so better to buy VDi,  it is more comfortable.

Also i noticed Vibration Noise in LDi >> because my brother own LDi and during my visit to home town i drive a lot.

My suggestion is look once Fiat Punto, as it have to same engine,  better built > this might be reduce the vibration noise.

We have one Dzire VXi,  it is very smooth than Swift LDi.  so i am comparing comfortable seating in Vxi & Ldi.

LDi is the best for Highways with Vibration Noise,  but in city you will always feel the diesel & petrol difference.

If i am at your place, definitely i will check the Punto for at least 1 day or long TD to clear the vibration noise.

Even i used Ritz Ldi,  It also have the less vibration noise compare to Swift. Seating is good, but i dislike due to rear looks.

Central locking better to have Autocop > it is user friendly than Maruti installed.  When you lift the hand breaks, it open's all door locks.  in Swift LDi,  you have to do it manually.

Thanks. I believe VXI is a petrol engine and LDI,VDI are diesel engine.Diesel engines are more noisy than petrol engine.

I have been using diesel engine for a long time.I don't have any issue on the noise. The issue is I saw the price diff of Rs.40,000 between Swift VDI and LDI.

I am just checking whtehr it is worth spending Rs.40,000 just for the premium features which i may not use at all.

I don't want power windows,

I need only central locking sytem with fog lamps.

That is the reason why I thought of trying to check whther it is worth

Rear seat as head restraint in VDI. Don't neglect as this one of the safety features. Also, you can go for optional ABS in swift VDI

Kumar,

Go with Swift LDI if you are seriously not keen on spending money on lil luxury it offers.

If at all you can afford it opt for VDi since you will recover the excess amount paid at the time of resale, so you dont loose money.
