Fiat Palio D [2003-2007] User Reviews

I am having a Palio 1.9D 2004 MODEL. I purchased it last year as second hand at a cost of Rs.2,48,000/- in a view that FIAT VEHICLES ARE GOOD AND MAY NOT CREATE PROBLEMS.BUT IT IS SAD TO SAY THAT IT IS ALWAYS CREATING PROBLEMS WITH F.I.P,OVER HEAT ,OIL LEAKS ETC....I HAVE SPENT RS 40,000/-FOR REPAIRS AFTER PURCHASE BUT THE PERFORMANCE IS NOT GOOD TILL NOW.NOW I FEEL THAT I HAVE MADE A GRAVE MISTAKE BY SELECTING A SECOND HAND FIAT CAR(ONLY 4 YEARS OLD).WHEN EVER 1.9D IS ON THE ROAD NO GOOD COMMENTS WILL BE MADE FROM ITS OWNERS.SO HOW CAN FIAT SELL MORE AND MORE VEHICLES IN INDIA AS THEY MAY STOP PRODUCTION OF ANY MODELS AT ANY TIME AND THE OWNERS WILL FACE DIFFICULTIES.

I can Only say one thing AWESOME  CAR man , I had buy nothing but a Palio always felt like buying a Fiat, being only 23 couldnt have gone for a padmini or peuogot, so finaly had the money started looking for a palio second of course, found and bought one from dwarka (new delhi).

           The make was 2003 and Sky blue color, went for test drive and the first thing i noticed that when u r inside the car, NO NOISE and its DIESEL car , how it could be (always remembered that noise in SUMO and INDICA) possible , that is a whole new diesel thing i noticed, then came the test drive and as i pushed my foot on accelerator i felt the 1900 cc engine behind which i was sitting, the PICKUP oh god felt like driving a toyota innova, there is something i dont need tell about , SPACE its very spacious .  I took to my hometown from DELHI to JALANDHAR, and then return without any problems at all , 600 km drive believe you are never tired of driving in this car , AWESOME CAR man, i went to himachal from punjab to MAA CHINTPURNI TEMPLE in mountains , it just didnt feel any stress on the engine at all even on mountains , this is just a beautyfull machine what else handling is a little shaky when above 130 km/hr , but how many times u drive that fast cool car man , now i use it to go to my office daily that in gurgaon , and its rocking.

 YOU are inside the car rear or front seats , it just doesnt feel like another small car , however can give u a feeling of corrola or a honda city. Big Story short looks small But it A BIG CAR.

 Features of my car: All power windows, Manual central locking, tachometer, Electronic heater for start, Rear Wiper, Pioner Cd and Mp3 player with remote, 2 Channel Sound Barrier Amplifier, 4 speakers Pioneer(2) Xplod(2), Bass tube with Xplod subwoofer, All Tubeless Tyres (goodyear), Reverse Gear lock, Amaron Battery , A/C with Climate Control.

This not for sale because i just love my car .            

Exterior Is too gud.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Intrior is very apprising,having stylish wooden vents,no car in this segment have these type of such a class vents.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox i hv 2006 palio1.9D elx My car ends my last nights journey with having 1,81001km and still is running very nicely,i hv just replaced timinh belts thrice,outer belt twice,having no gear problem yet and will think it will not harrash me,mileage is too gud with 21km with ac,engine is so powerful that u can run ur car with 3rd gear with ac from zero,u can continue to run with an idle speed of40 with ac in 5th gear.

Ride Quality & Handling I hv punto also both cars hv their own speciality, but I like palio and I will go with this car.

Final Words Its an absolute car,cal me 4 any respons 981545XXXX. I advised for FIAT and none else.

Areas of improvement Head lights, Faded with passage of time

As I was reading the comments of others, I saw some are disappointed with fiat, my case is , i am still running an 2003 model fiat palio d 1.9 elx 180000 km (Dec 22 2017).

Only probelm I am facing now a days is parts not available and have to wait for 2 to 3 weeks, some things I would like to point.

Heat of this car has never gone ahead of the first point of the meter, in my 10 years riding, 2 or 3 times heat has gone up and i saw that radiator had no water and was a leakage and fixed it.

During this 10 years only 2 times this car left me in road. Which I think is great, confort and great pick up, I love him when overtaking and riding up to the hill.

In city day time running car gives me 12-14 km, where as in night, at 60-70 km speed, gives me 17-18 km.
