Looks good and i would like to own this one.

The exterior is similar to the latest SUV's and is latest in design too.

As an Indian, we are not still not getting any cars worth our money. All the bigger cars are priceed so high and we are forced to contend to have the standard low end model vehicles which are sub 1800 CC. There must be a some company which can offer a good model at affordable price. To achive the offordable price/cost, this car must be made here in India and may be India can be made base plant for export purpose too and hence the volumes can be achived and hence the reduced costs.

The price tag for this 2000CC SUV is not convincing at all.

make it India Cheverlet, be a leader!

      Exterior Excellent styling.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Seats are extremely comfortable on long trips.  A lot of leg room in rear seats. A lot of head & leg room for talldrivers.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Four cylinder 2.4L has plenty of power in hilly & mountaneous even when fully loaded. (172HP).  I love the 6 speed auto tranny.

Ride Quality & Handling Even though they come standard with a sport handling package it rides very well.

Final Words I purchased this off a dealers lease (owners wife).  It had approx 12K miles.  I've owned it for 3 months but have put about 5K miles on it. I have driven it fully loaded from Pittsburgh,PA  to Naples, FL and back. Great road car.  Quiet with a nice ride.  I averaged about 28-29 MPG on the trip driving at the interstate speed limits. I get appox 22-23 MPG in neighborhood & local driving.  This is a front wheel drive & have only driven it in one snow so far. Seems average in snow traction but this is always as much dependent on the tires as on the vehicle (Firesone All Weathers).  Stops excellent in snow/ice.  Had remainder of the factory warranty. I had a remote start added by the dealer at a very reasonable price. Has a USB port for the stereo system.  Load thousands of your music on a fash drive and plug in.  Lots of stereo features & gingerbread.Overall I couldn't be happier than if I had specail ordered it.  Fully recomendded.

Areas of improvement Add remote trunk release button to the key remote.

ComfortNo remote trunk release on the remote. But is under rear window.

      Exterior

The car is a good competition to the CRV,RAV4 , X trail and the SANTAFE. Ranks high among the small SUV segment and a wise buy for anyone desiring to own an SUV in india.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

Good interiors in terms of build quality and electornic advancement.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

The 3.2 V6 is the best buy here in the Middle East. Good sporty pickup, the automatic and cruise control place it well with competition. Big brothers TAHOE, DENALI, YUKON are high end when it comes to power, but manuverability and short drive ease that they lack is made up for amply by the CAPTIVA.

      Ride Quality & Handling

Ride quality is a bit boxy compared to the SantaFe, however, the ruggedness and road gripping capability make up for the boxy ride.

      Final Words

Its a great eco SUV to own and a sure buy in its catergory, though interiors now in 2010 may need  a facelife, especailly after the launch of the accord tourer.

      Areas of improvement

The competition had raised the bar as far as interiors are concerned.

Fuel Economy, Refined Styling,Easy to Drivenothing is particular
