The Captiva has always been a capable SUV, but the recently
launched refresh has added a few new features like cruise control,
third-row HVAC control, an electric parking brake, automatic wipers and a
sunroof. In addition, there is also a remote-operated tailgate glass,
space to stow things below the boot floor and a cooled glovebox. Safety
is also of international standards, with six airbags and ABS with EBD.
The new 2.2-litre diesel engine has now joined the 2.0-litre mill
and offers the option of 186bhp and 424Nm, but can't be had with a
manual transmission. Instead, a six-speed automatic is standard fare.
