Honda launches new City in Thailand

Honda City 2009Honda has chosen Thailand to launch the new City before it does so in any other market, and it did so on the 10th of September. If the images are anything to go by, the City is a mini Civic. The top-end SV variant has the same steering wheel with audio controls and paddles to swap ratios of the five-speed automatic transmission, just like the Civic.

The engine displacement hasn’t changed - it stays at 1.5 litres, but has an advanced i-VTEC Honda City 2009 interiorsystem that squeezes 120bhp out of the motor. Other thoughtful touches are an iPod-compatible USB connector for the music system, seven cupholders and a plastic-lined tray under the rear seat for that wet umbrella. What’s more, the rear seatback inclinationHonda City 2009 can be adjusted in the SV variant. With a boot big enough to swallow four sets of golf clubs, the new City looks set to demolish its opposition just like it did the last time around - only this time, the driver appeal hasn’t been ignored. We can’t wait to get our hands on one.
