There is whole confusion surrounding Getz Deisel Spec.
On the Hyundai website its clear thats its GVS with lots missing features of GLS and no option for ABS. But dealers say it would surely come with ABS. Dealers do not have the car itself or even the specs.
No big ads in the papers or TV.
So its terrbile launch to sum up.

And they are adding new car by Month End ? That too before their second plant goes up & running ?

That raises my eyebrow…..

But I am sure no one can buy before Dussera or Diwali…

Anyway for consumers its good as they have plenty of choices( or confusion) in B segment car……

Great news for everyone

Hyundai’s is offering an impressive discount of Rs 25000 for its flagship model Santro. For the Accent sedan Hyundai offers a special price of Rs 4.99 lakh for a select few days. Hyundai is giving out a Rs 10,000 exchange bonus scheme on its Verna and Getz Prime models. For the 1.3L Hyundai Getz discounts upto Rs35000 and an exchange bonus of Rs20000 is offered. Additionally you can save upto 4% of the loan you made.

Maruti Suzuki’s offers a rebate of Rs45000 for its hot hatch Zen Estilo. Maruti Suzuki’s best selling models - WagonR carries a discount of Rs 40,000 and the Alto Rs 34,000 while the old war horse Maruti 800 is off by Rs 25,000. Maruti mid-size sedan Esteem offers an impressive discount of Rs 56,000. Many of these schemes are already on and will continue though the festive period.

Ford ruled out mazda for Indian market and said it has no plans to bring the Focus sedan to India in the near future. Ford India is considering a powertrain facility in India as opposed to import. Currently Ford imports engines from Thailand and Europe.

Hyundai has finally made a fullstop to the rumours on santro diesel. We have no plans of a diesel version of the Santro” HMIL managing director H S Lheem said. Non-availability of a 1.1 litre diesel engine is said to be the prime reason for shelving the plans of a diesel Santro by the manufacturer. But as expected, after tasting the sucess of CNG Santro Hyundai plans LPG variant of santro. The LPG Santro is expected to be out by the first half of 2008.Similar to Wagon R Duo, Santro may also sport a similar 32 litre LPG toroidal.

Higher-end version of Tata’s 1 lakh car will have Manual transmission, air-conditioning, power windows and power steering.

2) I have read in Indian Express this week that a New Version of Santro is going to Introduce in early next year, the pricing will be between Santro Xing and Gets.

From when is the rebate in prices of Maruti cars effective. I enquired with the dealer and I was told that what ever you have mentioned is not TRUE ! I’m from Bengal and may be that this OFFER is not for Bengal !

Hyundai Pa is a car which is base on santro structure and its almost the same car so its not exciting atall i thing hyundai want to give more option to the customer thats it. But its a santro modified version New Splash is far better car than this.

I don’t think Santro would be taken off from offering now.So please stop worrying about spares.

When Maruti has 5 cars in A/B segemnt then Hyundai can have three cars Santro, i10(PA) and Getz in B/B+ segment with different price bands.

Its good(confusing) for consumers as we have more options to buy.

i10 would be slightly wider,larger than the Santro with refreshing interior/exterior.

Market sources say the new model will be called ATOS, Codenamed Pa, it has been tested by the company on the Chennai-Bangalore route. The company said the new car may be priced between Santro, which costs Rs 2.70-4.74 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi) and Getz (Rs 4.90-5.25 lakh).

Whether the new model replaces Santro or not, its success or failure will influence the company’s future in India. For, Hyundai - it has been lying uncharacteristically low for a year or so - needs a blockbuster. None of its recent launches has exactly been a runaway success.

Hyundai may later launch the i10 (pa) with a much powerful engine.

wheelbase: 2380mm
Length: 1550mm shorter by 40mm than Santro
Width: 1595mm—wider than santro by 70mm.

Hit the showrooms by the end of october or early November and will compete with Chevrolet spark, Maruti Suzuki zen estilo, Maruti Suzuki wagonR and Tata Indica xeta.

Price: around Rs 4lakh.

Hyundai is not going to stop manufacturing SANTRO and will continue to sell the santro even after i10 (Pa) hits the market as santro sells 14,000 units of out of Hyundai’s total monthly sales of 18,000 units in India.

Infact Hyundai plans to launch newer variants of the santro.

I find the looks of i10 very appealing. However, I’m yet to see any picture/image of D-lite model. I checked out at dealer and also searched the web, but couldn’t find any. I was just wondering how the i10 would look without body coloured bumper (especially the oyster grey coloured body). Can you please be of some help?
