Compared to 2007, Škoda Auto's total sales grew by 7.1 % and reached 674,530 vehicles. Considering the impact of the financial crisis in the second half of 2008, this is a good result.

Skoda India has announced that the Czech-originated company sold 16188 units in the year 2008. With this figure Škoda India has registered 28.5 % growth in its sales as compared to 12596 units it sold in 2007.
