Maruti Suzuki will tweak SX4’s engine by increasing the torque by 20-30Nm. This new more powerful engine will fulfill the Bharat Stage IV emission norms which will be levied from April 2010 across 11 Indian major cities.

Maruti Suzuki India Limited launched the Estilo. The Estilo comes equipped with a 998cc K-series engine which fulfills the BS-IV norms. The basic model is available at Rs 3.12 lakh as an introductory offer (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Maruti Suzuki India has increased the prices of various models including the recently launched A-Star by up to Rs 10,000. "The price increase has been necessitated due to the increase in input costs and foreign currency changes," the company said in a statement.
